The Restoration process is…
.. a Holy Spirit driven experience. As believers, our identity is first found in Christ and the knowledge that we are a “child of God.”
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! (1 John 3:1)
You are the sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26)
In addition to this identity, we have individual identities, which emanate from the gifts, desires and values given to us by our creator. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we become aware of the God given individual gifts, desires and values that make us who we are and reflect
the potential for who we were created to be.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us, if a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. (Romans 12:6-8)
Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thorn bushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart. (Luke 6:44-45)
The desire of the righteous ends only in good. (Proverbs 11:23)
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. (Psalm 146:16)
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)
But the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:26)
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. (John 16:12-14)
Our inheritance as children of God gives us the opportunity to receive wisdom and revelation through the knowledge of God, so that we may know our calling and better understand the magnitude of His power and purpose in our lives.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. (Ephesians 1:17-19)
We believe that by Trusting the Lord in this process we give the Holy Spirit full access to open up our individual stories.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Would not God have discovered it, since He knows the secrets of the heart? (Psalm 44:21)
We believe that each of us has a God given purpose or mission that the Lord desires to reveal to us.
Paul summarizes his purpose in Colossians 2:2-3:
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
As described in Psalm 139:15-16 when God created us, he wove us together with gifts and abilities to serve Him ordained our
days before they came to be. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
We were given free will to decide whether or not to seek the purpose for which we were created and called.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
God’s purpose resonates in our heart and makes us come alive to serve him.
Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21)
During this intensive journey. with the help of the Holy Spirit, you will discover the gifts, attributes, values and desires that were given uniquely to you, by your creator. You will also pursue an understanding of the purpose for which you created and called to serve Him.
We speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However as it is written:
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.”
But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. (I Corinthians 2:7-13)
God is prepared to teach us all we need to know on this journey.
If you are ready...He is willing!
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8)
